all you have to do is pull an invoice or receipt from January 2021 and request a quote for the same products/services as now.
Or if you run quickbooks you can just pull the data.
hell you can go on instacart and look up an order from 2020 and then hit the re-order all items tab and do the arithmetic to get the %increase

I was struck by the fact that energy prices have an offset down in reported inflation data for a theoretical benefit that the consumer is receiving for helping climate change by paying higher prices. That’s beyond Orwellian. Next we need to isolate what % of cost change is due to government spending on Ukraine because that is saving democracy.
