Yeah I kind of cheat and count all of JW's work as the Stripes. I do think collectively they are close. But I agree Muse is superior. They're certainly my favorite band since grunge.

03 was a pretty good year with the Postal Service album, Sun Kil Moon’s ‘Ghosts of the Great Highway’ and the Unicorns’ debut are all upper echelon aughts records. Elephant is a top 3 record of the decade imo.

Best album of the year no question.

Not quite rock despite Andres best efforts, IMO.
