Huff the Lightning is right on par with Master of Puppets. The latter is just a touch better.

Top 5 single for me. #1 synth. @Crow_T_Robot (rip) agreed

People that hate the synths on 1984 can fuck the fuck off.

Eh. I always thought Jump was their lamest hit this side of Dance the Night Away. I'm more of a Hot for Teacher kind of guy.

Hard agree. I can see why 1984 would win here. It's not better than Ride, but it was the "fun" hard rock album of the middle 80's, and half this bored got laid to Panama. Probably not as many got laid to Creeping Death. I got laid to both, of course. And no, you can't have his name.

Also, this year is stacked because Peter Puffer left out Maiden's Powerslave, which is one of the 5 best metal albums in history. I guess when you are tall you think you can get away with this shit.

Watching Metallica do Creeping Death live is close to the coolest thing I've ever fucking seen. If you haven't seen them do this song live, you've cheated yourself.

Any album with Creeping Death and For Whom The Bell Tolls on it gets my vote.

And Fade to Black set the standard for what a metal ballad should be, and laid the foundation for the Magnum Opus that is Sanitarium on Master. I have wood.
