Best Rock Album - 1970?

This is a year of abundance for me. They are all my favorites.

I could just as easily gone this direction. But Workingman's Dead is such a favorite moment in rock history for me. The Dead figured out how to ditch the self indulgent noodling a bit @alumni94 and write some catchy concise songs. 1970- 72 is peak GD.

This was the toughest one for me so far by a wide margin. Damn. Not at all sure I voted right.

Plastic Ono would be so much better if it didnt have that title. All Things Must Pass is just too George...too nice. I even considered Zep III but it has a few tunes that I skip.

Gold Rush obviously worthy and the one I listen to most. It's not Neil's best, though. Paranoid is absolute peak Black Sabbath.

Plastic Ono and All Things Must Pass both had some weak cuts but the high points were brilliant and rank right up there with the Beatles best work.

Zep III is by far my favorite Zep album. Sad that it ended up in this year.

I think I picked up the first extended live version when it came out. We used to get hammered and sing a A Quick One He’s away. Then Wes Andersen plagiarized my shit in Rushmore.
