Bert Grant and Hoppy Beer

So Bert was a closeted hipster techie IPA drinking fag? As a person who likes an occasional stiff IPA or two, tyfys, Bert-Brah...

Arguably my second greatest experience is drinking old Bert Grant beer at GABF with the late, great beer writer, historian, and whisky lover Michael Jackson.

(#1 is unarguably Jackson trying my initial homebrewing efforts and shushing the people around us, eager to discuss things as I poured him more. It was in an old abandoned synagogue in Denver, falling apart around us, like '06. He died before I returned the next year.)

I once found old Bert Grant dusty bottles in Tampa area in mid 2000's. I brought back a few old bottles as souvenirs.

Cheers--

I could drink Bert's IPAs, because they didn't taste like Roses or Rhododendron like so many current IPAs do.

Have yourselves all the IPA you want. As long as I got my Scottish Swill Ale I'm happy.
