All these big names hanging around mean nothing if we can't get some offensive linemen

Wonder if he would like to buy the team ~ I hear that the annual naming rights are for sale for like 30 million per year ~ "Ballmer's UW Dawgs" has a nice ring to it

Joking aside, Ballmer is a Harvard grad and his wife is an Oregon alum with key associations to the program ~ including major contributions to the university ~ it's hard to see Ballmer emerging as a consistent major donor to UW but you never know… here is a brief summary of the history of their philanthropy
"On November 12, 2014, it was announced that Ballmer and his wife Connie donated $50 million to the University of Oregon. Connie Ballmer is a University of Oregon alumna and previously was on the institution's board of trustees. The funds will go toward the university's $2 billion fundraising effort, and will focus on scholarships, public health research and advocacy, and external branding/communications.[102] On November 13, 2014, it was announced that Ballmer would provide a gift, estimated at $60 million, to Harvard University's computer science department. The gift would allow the department to hire new faculty, and hopefully increase the national stature of the program.[103] Ballmer previously donated $10 million to the same department in 1994, in a joint gift with Bill Gates.[104]
In 2022, Ballmer donated $425 million to the University of Oregon to fund a new institute for children's behavioral health.[105][106]
Ballmer is on the World Chairman's Council of the Jewish National Fund, which means he has donated US$1 million or more to the JNF.[107]"

"his wife is an Oregon alum"
I don't think we should hold it against her that she couldn't get into a better university.
And she might appreciate the opportunity to be associated with a better university now.
