I don't thunk it now either. Babushka leaving didn't do shit, and I don't see any major change in outcomes had he stayed.
 
The conventional wisdom here was that any success the UW offense had under Smith as OC was because Jeff Tedford was consulting. Smith was almost as derided as JonDon is now.

@Babushka is a good fit at OSEwe.

My opinion is he would be as successful at HC at UW.
 
Babushka's success this year to me is 90% more about the rest of the conference sucking around him than anything. I credit him with getting the program out of the hole of being the program that wins 1-3 games a year it easily could be to being one that can win 5-7 games a year, but that's about it. Functional USC and UW teams should have plundered this Beav team.

He has some momentum there and can probably consistently get them to a bowl. But this conference is embarrassing.

Yeah, he's doing a decent job at one of the more-difficult jobs in the Pac-12, but he should not be in serious contention for a Pac-12 title with this team and be a serious candidate for the USC job.
