There is a pretty strong correlation between recruiting rankings and actual rankings. National Title contenders in BCS conferences don't consistently pull in mediocre classes.

Not sure how you made the leap from poaching some players off their commit list to recruiting rankings??? Thanks for the insight about the recruiting rankings. But that is not the only part of the equation. I can give you numerous examples of coaches who had very good recruiting classes with average to below average results.

But will be nice to have a coach who can now bring in 4 & 5 * kids, while still finding some diamond in the rough like Ryan Clady.
