They asked him multiple times if he was disappointed in how they won today, and Carroll said, (paraphrasing) "I don't understand what you guys are thinking. That was a good football team that we beat out there today."
Then someone asked him if he was surprised that the 49ers played so hard. Again, Carroll was like, "No, I just don't understand these questions. That was our rival we played today. Of course they played hard."

I don't live in Seattle anymore but I go on seattletimes.com to check the games on TV section and there was a JerryBrewerFS article mid-week about how the Seahawk/9er rivalry is over, as if today was just a formality. I'm sure anyone that calls themselves a "twelve" ate that shit up.
Didn't hear Carroll's PC but this is the NFL, and the 9ers were 7-6 going into the game and were obviously going to play hard. Everybody was sucking off Green Bay 2 days ago and they just lost to Buffalo. Fuck. I grew up as a Seahawk fan and haven't wavered on that but when they do lose, it gives me solace that the Hooks are shitting their pants.
