It has to do with the fact that it counts as 1. Only quooks and mountain west trash care about it.

I don’t have to, selection committee already did. That’s why Washington was ranked behind Utah and number 12 not 10. They will move up however to 9 or 10 final. But that one ASU loss cost them either a rose bowl or a playoff spot
