Amid crime surge in Seattle, some take steps to defend themselves

In PDX they’re trying to figure out where all the garbage in town is coming from. The homeless by choice are saying they’re being unfairly blamed for it.

Yet I can drive I-5, I-205 and I-405 and see with my own eyes the obscene amount of trash around the numerous tent cities. It’s truly disgusting and an embarrassment to PDX.

 
Buy a gun. Get a CCW. Crime will plummet when they start getting shot. Ask Florida.

Also wondering why crime has exploded. It for sure isn’t because of slashing the police budget. That’s one thing for sure.

And black people are a shit ton safer now they don’t have cops hunting them for sport.

Not unusual for new Portland police officers to wash out during the one-year probationary period.

Multnomah County DA (prosecutor).

Legalization of many “crimes.”

Failure to enforce many other crimes.

Criminals are well aware of the consequences (or lack thereof).

Minimal or no consequences leads to increased crime, particularly property crimes and the quality of life for the law-abiding citizens.

That's my biggest gripe, if you are homeless fine, keep to yourself, don't make a mess and stop harassing people and we wouldn't care.

Most of the homeless that you see living on the streets and throwing their trash around are all drug addicts and or crazy people who have destroyed their brains through their drug abuse.
