Washington celebrating a win in a bowl game and capping the year on an optimistic note is better than losing 56-10 to Georgia in round one of the playoffs. Not true for every year, but true for this '25 team.
(Assuming doesn't get blown up in the offseason of course)

I’d still rather have them be a playoff team.
Winning 38-10 over a mid Boise team is like sex. It’s great for a while, but then you fall asleep.

going into the Oregon game with 2 losses and upsetting them while backdooring a playoff invite would have given the program a lot more juice.

Not saying they would have been selected, don't twist.

The board is always better after a loss.

It turned out okay getting a conference champion that only had maybe 1 guy opt out, and then outclassing them.
Selling this year as a significant step seems like a better situation for Jedd than trying to make his offense work with an overrated 5 ⭐ with an entourage threatening to move him to Oregon after the 20th back shoulder fade goes into the stands.

I'd be more onboard with this view if we'd beaten Wiscy and done what we did last night in a better bowl against a better team.

Overall, I don't disagree with the "finish on a high note" mentality though, as long as the coach doesn't leave.

Agreed
