Good for him. It will be interesting to see what happens with that company and its employees over the next few years. Once upon a time, Henry Ford made the news for paying his workers good wages.
 
This is fine by me because it is the owners CHOICE. It wasn't forced upon him by government or the Indian lady. Good for him. And those clerks better update their resumes, making 70k means don't fuck up doing easy tasks.

It's his money and if he thinks you deserve 70K a year, then who the hell is going to tell him different?

Pay them 70k - and set the bar where it should be.
 
The quality of his workforce will skyrocket over the next few years if competitors don't follow suit. And I bet they won't. I'm not a fan of ridiculously stupid, government imposed minimum wages, but for a private company, I love the owner's balls to make this move.

Just curious as to what folks think the min. wage should be. Obviously SF's needs to be greater than hell Paso's due to cost of living.

No shit. I made minimum wage when I was 14 - for 3 months.

wtf are people doing? How can anyone have standards that low for themselves?
