@PurpleBaze @whlinder
I’m 19,230 in as of this AM.
Before @pawz got sick he was starting to do some rowing machine stuff at the gym. He seemed to be getting into it. Nothing burns off the seed oils and shitty ultra processed foods like an erg !

I'm at 30K+ as of this morning. I've done 7K, 7K, 8K, & 8K.
Planning on another 8K tomorrow morning and then I'll be out of town for a couple days.
This year I'm trying rowing first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. It has worked surprisingly well.

Was thinking we should have a MHCHHA thread in the Shoppe, especially to coincide with the holiday challenge.
I tried to start ahead of pace and see if I can somehow pull off 200k this year. Also because I spent the week before Thanksgiving in London which meant too much food and not enough exercise, even though the hotel had a C2.
Have a week of work meetings + social events in 2 weeks which will get in the way of maintaining pace, but through 4 days have done 60 min, 10k, 50 min, 10k, for 45,602.

Shit mang, we just missed each other in London town. I was there from Nov 12- 17 with Mrs Snow for a quick get-a-way. Not approved by @ukdawg however as London sucks and all the culture and fun is to the the north.

That's a strong start! 200K always feel like a stretch to me mostly as I don't like to push that many miles on this old man frame on the erg. My happy place on the erg for a work out is like 30 mins, where as, I like the peloton better for the 60 min zone 2 stuff.

You are not wrong.
Put it this way, if you have only been to New York City, would you say you have seen America? Or if you have only been to Paris, would you say you have seen France?
London doesn't suck, but it's only worth one visit. Time to join the big-time boys and come visit UK Dawg.

People forget I've spent a lot of time in Cambridge and Henley in an official capacity representing the University of Washington. I've left London!!

Oh dayum, I rolled into Heathrow super late on the 15th (daytime flight! no jetlag at all) and didn't leave until the 21st.
Past 30 mins the erg gets annoying & boring, no doubt. I don't usually go beyond a 10k but to get to 200k I'll probably have to.

We could have had a pint!!!

I've made it to 71,602 after an 8K this morning. Crossing 100k this week should be good. Then It's Hard the week after and as we get close to Xmas if there is a push towards 200k.

I just got home after 2 days and pulled 2K, putting me over 40K. Planning 8K+ each of the next 4 days. Depending on how tomorrow and Friday go, I'll bump up to 10K+ Saturday and Sunday.

I'm the 3 place loser in the competition and I've lost to CAL 3 times in my career!
I did a 1K warm and 6K at 22 s/m this AM. 26,320 in thus far. Sad.
Need to see where @BearsWiin is at. That guy used to pull like 2 hrs of steady state at the gym and rack up massive distances.

Like the '36 team, you're going to dust me later. You'll finish skrong.
I'm just a 55 year-old, 5'10" towelhead.

100k threshold complete.
The 10k per day pace will fall off now. With 18 days to go I think best case I can erg on 15 of them, and possibly only 12. But we will see what happens.

Good work, @whlinder .
I did 10K today. My goal next year is to do 10K a day for the challenge. Would really like to reach 200K. The key is to keep up with the rower throughout the year. I go on these long sabbaticals. I didn't row from early May to early November - the holiday challenge being the main motivator to start getting reacquainted with the machine. I figure if I keep my hand in it, rowing at least every other day, then it'll be a lot easier to put in 10K/day come next T-Day.

I'm out here sucking hit at 39,660 in as of Dec. 6th. I'm not going to hit 200,000 but I'd like to improve over 102,000 from the the last Holiday Challenge. Still plenty of time.

10.2K+ today; sitting at 88.5K for the challenge.
I woke up with little energy and not much motivation. I had a long fucking day yesterday and didn't eat much, followed by not getting a whole lot of sleep.
Still, no fucking excuses. Got on the machine and let it come to me.

"I'm just a 55 year-old, 5'10" towelhead" would fit on a beer mug.

The camel pullers haven't tried this hard since they were whipping @creepycoug 's ass in 711 AD and increasing the Iberian swarthyness!
I hit 60K today. Breaking my last year 102K is well withing reach. 200k is not and that's fine.
