Seemed like last year was a great opportunity for Miami to at least make the playoff and they couldn't even do that. My assumption is it's more about the weakness of the field than anything they've shown. Outside of Penn State, a lot of this is based on name brand, past recruiting rankings, and assumed portal scores. What on earth did anyone see from Miami this year that would indicate there is a snow ball's chance in hell of a natty?
And most of what was good for them has left.
It was. But they weren't that good. I mean, most of their games were close and Cristobal mailed in his typical two to three turds. And that was with Ward, a great one-two punch in the running game and an O line with depth. Their only roster weakness, and it was a big one, was the D backfield. So bad Will Rogers could have passed on them. But with that schedule, it still should not have been that big of a problem.Seemed like last year was a great opportunity for Miami to at least make the playoff and they couldn't even do that.
