1987 Independence Bowl Tulane vs Washington

I remember being upset that UW had reduced itself to playing such a crap opponent in a bowl game. Was this bowl sponsored by Poulan Weed-Eater?

I think all the tacky sponsorships came in the 90s
 
I remember watching this game on channel 13 in third grade and not being impressed.

I tried to watch it on Youtube a couple times, but you start watching it and think, "It's the Independence Bowl versus Tulane."

Ducks get excited for Independence Bowls though. 25th anniversary ceremonies at halftime or some nonsense.
 
For future reference, could you please not use those words so early in the morning? I was in a deep sleep.
