What a sad bunch of sorry people. Fuck all y'all. The dude worked his ass off to get to where he is. Of course he wants to be rewarded for it. What is this hometown loyalty bullshit. Why haven't these grown-ass adults figured out that this is the NFL and there is no such thing as loyalty. It's all about the Benjamins, you assholes. I had a friend today tell me that he regrets all the positives he's ever said about Shaq Thompson because he told the Hawks and their fans to go fuck themselves and took that as a personal fuck you to him himself so therefore he was going to tell him to fuck off as well ... what the fuck does Shaq owe to the Hawks? He didn't grow up here ... they aren't paying his fucking checks ... seriously where do these people get off thinking the way they do?
Regarding Jermaine, I don't have an expectation that he really wants to leave. If the deals are close at all, he's staying. I don't see any reason for the Hawks to not bump him up to a reasonable market level deal with the deal that Baldwin signing as a high end mark and the 3 years for $9-$10M being probably the reasonable range that he is looking for unless someone is really interested in breaking the bank. As Lockett eventually settles into the #2 WR role for this team, Kearse is well positioned to be the #3 WR for this team going forward.

I don't see what these FS fans are worried about. JK isn't the type of player who is going to warrant a bidding war. Teams will offer him fair market value and the number is going to be something the Seahawks will more or less match. Like Teq said, unless some team just decides to throw stupid money at him, which I don't see happening. But let's say a team does...and he has a choice betw $3.5 mil with the Hawks or $6 mil with the Buccs, how could any 12FS in their right mind blame him for taking a couple extra mil per year?
And to the guy who says "we are the ones who rooted you on and got you where you are today...." Really? Really? That's like Obubba saying you didn't build that.
