New Fish
These weekends are structured well. Yankoff comes in this weekend, Sirmon next. Okay, so some thoughts on each of the guys coming in:
First a look at the commits.
Now that I'm satisfied Lubick is staying (I think that's why we're bringing in Longo), I'm not really worried about Yankoff. I think Bush will bring him into the fold and we can have some nice competition at QB for the first time since... anyway, Trey Lowe[/b] is also coming in and as a Lubick kid as well. I think he is pretty firm.
Curne[/b] and Mele[/b] are also coming in and I assume there will be no bumps in the road here. Curne was looking around for a second, I think, but he looks locked in now.
Liu[/b] and Bynum[/b] come in this weekend. I like the idea that we'll have a couple DL commits talking with a guy who is ostensibly about to commit in Taimani[/b] (I think the deal is pretty much sealed here, but we will probably find some way to fuck it up).
Now the non-commits
The other kid that's interesting is Tremblay[/b]. I'm still worried about a late swing to USC, but I do think that after a good visit, we could have him wrapped up. I really think he's a sleeper key to our class in that he can help bridge the DL next year because I'm assuming Greg and Vita are gonezo.
Zion[/b] is sort of in the same boat as Taimani. I can't really imagine he's going anywhere else but UW and I assume he will commit if we want him to.
MJ Tafisi[/b] is another kid that I assume will commit if we want him to. I like his film.
Last, Stephen Blaylock[/b] is coming in. He was committed to UCLA forever, and with Martin leaving, he's a bit up in the air. I'm sure we will not take his commit if we think there's a possibility of Julius Irvin[/b] committing, so my guess is this is pretty much a 'go home and think about it' kind of situation.
OVERVIEW:
It seems like we will ultimately take 21-22 guys. That means there are 7 spots still open if we hold on to everyone (the only guy right now I'm worried about is Dominique Hampton). Who do we think it will be?
VERY LIKELY:[/b]
Sam Taimani
ZTP
MJ Tafisi
MAYBE:[/b]
Caleb Tremblay
PROBABLY NOT:[/b]
Kyler Gordon
Tommy Togiai
Halid Djibril
Maurese Wren
NO WAY:[/b]
Brandon Kaho
Abdul-Malik McClain
Jeremiah Martin
Julius Irvin
NO CHANCE IN HELL:[/b]
Solomon Tuliaupupu
Palaie Gaoteote
DO WE REALLY WANT THEM?[/b]
Stephen Blaylock
Aashari Croswell
So there you have it. We will finish with 4 spots unfilled and we will fill those with shitty guys like Will Pliska and Jesiah Irish.
