Jabbar was great but saying a defense that runs 80% 2 Trap and Quarters is “less db friendly” just doesn’t make sense to me. Pretty basic stuff. Having to learn 20x adjustments in Cover 3 like Lake ran is much harder to do.

I think the best case would be to bring in Fifita and retain Rogers since he’s still on campus apparently. There should be a West Coast kid he can poach to help fill it out as well. Otherwise I think it’s portal hunting, hope for someone like Malachi Nelson to decommit.

There’s a difference between pay for play and long term NIL. If you want the real reason - it’s because UW hasn’t had a national brand and nobody outside of the west coast wants to visit a city like seattle.
