    Reverse thrust has to be manually actuated, after landing, by the pilot flying. Spoilers will come out automatically, if armed. Same with autobrakes, but it was a moot point here with the gear not extended. In any case, seems like there was a lot of panic with this crew and they just wanted to...

    Looks like they may have shut down the wrong engine; hence the rush to put it down in the opposite direction. Classic case of shutting down the good engine when you're trying to secure the one that's damaged.
