Penix was watching the Oregon pass defense today

We decided to play a lot of man without a lot of deep help. I hardly doubt that will be the strategy against UW. Oregon will probably play a five man box against UW.

I hate the argument that he’s relying on his athleticism and the lack of passion automatically translates to college. If you are a mathematical genius and have to sit in the remedial class are you going to rely on effort or your genius? People said this about Thibodeaux and he worked his ass...

Nevada safety chooses Oregon over Washington

It’s a solid pick up early in the cycle.

I don’t think he’s the first in the pecking order at edge for Oregon either. However, Eklund is a total douche canoe for how he wrote that.

Kodi DeCambra 4* Safety Bishop Gorman HS (Las Vegas, NV)

As much as I hate UW, this is terrible for the PAC if that is true. Listening to interviews, Kalen just seems like an odd duck (no pun intended). Maybe marching to the beat of his own drum works out like it does for Chip?

When Bralen Trice Got His Big Chance, He didn't Fumble It

I always keep an eye on Trice’s career trajectory because it was Ma’ae or Trice in that recruiting cycle. Ma’ae might grow into a 4i though. It’s good to see he’s on the path to contributing.

Lanning losing at linebacker to UW would be a tough pill to swallow. That’s Lanning and Tosh’s responsibility. If Oregon wants Blake, I hope they can get him.

    4 star Rashid Williams

It’s pretty hard to say he didn’t develop when the coach and OC were so terrible. I want to see his development when given a good scheme and a coach that creates a good culture.

    This is the year

I am told that Williams is playing boundary so Hill can play at nickel. The new staff likes Hill. Last year we had a walk on, 2 true frosh playing the WIL. Our underneath coverage was horrible.

    This is the year

Gonzalez, Hill, and Williams are fine. Greenfield won’t see the field. Bridges and Manning will round out nickel with Stephens being a viable back up. We need some players in the portal or some depth developed. Powledge seems like our top developer, so excited to see what he can do.

Josh Conerly Jr. ready to commit

Oregon and USC are the two best programs in the PAC right now. NIL being equal, he wanted to be at Oregon.

Josh Conerly Jr. ready to commit

There’s direct quotes from him not wanting to play in an Air-Raid offense. I also think the NIL deal was on equal footing and he preferred proximity. He also said he thinks Oregon has the better team now. I think it was a multi-factored decision. I think the delay shows it was close and...

It’s funny. I just looked at every drafted OL from UCLA since 1999. Every single one of them was coached by Klemm for multiple years. UCLA had zero OL development in the 2000’s outside of Klemm (Chip will continue it). It has been in recent history one of the worst developers at OL in the...
